How To Rent Oxygen for Your Cruise

Scootaround is pleased to cater for your cruise oxygen rental needs with our range of portable oxygen concentrators (POCs). These POCs are chosen specifically for their portability and suitability on cruise ships. Below you will find further information on how to select the oxygen concentrator that is right for your next cruise.

Renting oxygen for your cruise couldn't be easier. Customers can arrange cruise mobility rentals 24/7 by booking online or calling 1-888-441-7575. Once your equipment has been booked, we will deliver the portable oxygen concentrator directly to your cruise ship cabin, port, hotel or residence – whichever is most convenient for you.

What Kind of Portable Oxygen Concentrators Does Scootaround Rent for Cruises?

Concentrator

The standard concentrator is ideal for cruise ships or when sharing a room with others, as it is small and quiet. It offers a 1 to 5 liter per minute (LPM) stationary supply of medical grade oxygen for in-room use, and comes included with 25 ft. tubing, 7 ft. nasal cannula, and a humidifier bottle (if needed).

We also have the high-flow concentrator that provides an 8 to 10 LPM stationary supply of medical grade oxygen.

Oxlife Independence System

The Oxlife Independence is a POC that produces medical grade oxygen on a demand basis (up to 6 LPM), or a continuous flow (up to 3 LPM). It can be used as both a portable and stationary source of oxygen. It is less than half the size and weight of most basic concentrators, making it a great option for cruise and other travel.

It contains two rechargeable power cartridges that will provide between 1.5 to 5 hours of use before recharging or changing. This unit has been FAA approved for on board and in flight use, as determined by the oxygen passenger’s valid medical prescription. It provides a safe, secure, and self-contained source of oxygen.

Accessories:
Oxlife Independence Battery
: Each battery will last approximately 2.75 hours at a pulse dose setting of 2, or 1.25 hours at a continuous flow setting of 2. Higher oxygen settings will reduce overall operating time. We recommend renting extra batteries if you will be spending significant time away from fixed power sources.

Oxlife Independence Battery Charger: The Oxlife External battery charger makes it possible to charge multiple batteries for use throughout the day or when traveling. The charger itself is light and compact, making it easy to travel with.

Inogen One G3 System

The Inogen One G3 delivers the independence of a portable oxygen concentrator in one of the smallest, lightest and quietest packages available to the oxygen user today. With the Inogen One G3, you can jump in the car to run errands, take a weekend trip to see family, or even take it on a plane to go on vacation!

The Inogen One G3 meets FAA requirements.

Accessories:
Inogen G3 16-Cell Battery
: With up to 10 hours of battery life, the Inogen One G3 Double Battery gives you more time to be out and about before having to recharge your POC.

Inogen G3 Battery Charger: This external battery charger will charge your Inogen One G3 single and double batteries. If you are active and need to recharge multiple batteries simultaneously, consider ordering an extra charger to assist with the load.

SimplyGo System

SimplyGo is the only POC to offer continuous flow and pulse-dose delivery in a single device weighing only 10 pounds. One of the keys to SimplyGo’s portability is its lightweight and compact battery. The unit has pulse (1 to 6 LPM), continuous flow (1 to 2 LPM) and sleep mode options, making it very versatile. Power from a lithium ion battery or standard AC/DC power cord adds convenience and flexibility.

SimplyGo has been approved by the FAA for in flight use.

Accessories:
SimplyGo Battery
: Each battery will last approximately 3 hours on a pulse dose setting of 2, or 1.6 hours on a continuous flow setting of 1. Higher oxygen settings will reduce overall operating time.

SimplyGo Charger: recharge your SimplyGo unit with this easy to use battery charger. It is small, lightweight, and allows you to charge your additional batteries outside of the POC. Estimated charge time is approximately 2 to 3 hours if your battery is completely depleted.
