How To Rent a Scooter for Your Cruise

Scootaround provides three types of mobility scooter rentals for cruises, each of which is chosen specifically for its portability, maneuverability and durability. Below you will find further information on how to select the scooter that is best-suited for your next cruise trip.

Renting a scooter for your cruise couldn't be easier. Customers can arrange cruise mobility rentals 24/7 by booking online or calling 1-888-441-7575. What Kind of Scooter Does Scootaround Rent for Cruises?

Transportable Electric Scooters

Our transportable electric scooters are the ideal choice for use on cruises. Their smaller size and exceptional maneuverability make these scooters perfect for the narrow doorways and spaces you often find on cruise ships. Transportable scooters can also collapse, come apart and be easily stored in your stateroom.

The heaviest piece when disassembled typically weighs between 40-60 lbs, which is significantly less than most standard or heavy duty electric scooters. Due to their smaller size, the maximum weight limit for these scooters is up to 325 lbs.

Standard Electric Scooters

Scootaround’s standard scooter is similar to the transportable model, but is designed for added stability and can handle more weight. Because of this, the standard scooter cannot be collapsed or disassembled like the transportable model. The larger size also means these scooters will be slightly more difficult to maneuver around the cruise ship. Scootaround offers these scooters with weight capacities of up to 400 lbs.

Standard scooters can be equipped with mobility accessories to help you further enjoy your cruise, such as a basket or drink holder. With an adjustable seat, comfortable tires, lifting arm rests and a tiller that tilts forward and back, getting in and out of your scooter is easy and comfortable.
